Who writes Nursing.ng
Content is researched and written by the Nursing.ng editorial team. We are transparent about our limits: our guides are not currently reviewed by a licensed clinician, which is why we do not give clinical or medical advice — our scope is admissions, licensing, fees and process, where the authoritative source is always a regulator's own publication, and we link to it.
How facts get onto a page
- Official sources only for load-bearing facts. Fees, exam formats, English-language minimums, accreditation status and deadlines come from the NMCN, NMC, NCSBN/Pearson, CGFNS, JAMB or the relevant government body — not from other blogs.
- Every guide shows its date. The "Last fact-checked" line at the top of each guide is the date we last re-verified its volatile facts against live official sources.
- Two-source rule. A time-sensitive figure needs the official source, plus a second independent confirmation where the official page is ambiguous.
- Directory discipline. The schools directory is reconciled against the NMCN's published register — currently the December 2025 edition — and we show each school's accreditation status rather than a blanket "accredited" claim. We never add a school the register doesn't list.
- When we can't verify, we say so. If a current fee can't be confirmed, we mark it and point you at the official portal instead of guessing.
Corrections
Reader error-reports are treated as fact-check triggers: we re-verify against the official source and fix the page, not just the complaint. Report anything via the contact form or the "Was this page helpful?" buttons on any page.
Independence & monetisation
Nursing.ng is independent — no affiliation with any council, school or recruiter. If advertising or paid features appear on the site, they never change what a guide says; an advertiser cannot buy a recommendation or a directory listing.
